Multilingual websites

With the pound weak against the Euro (and pretty much any other currency you’d care to mention) at the moment, a lot of Eurozone holiday rental owners are looking urgently to new markets to attract visitors this and next year.

As well as carefully selecting the right directories on which to advertise your property, you should ensure that when foreign language visitors look at your website, they are immediately given the impression that you are set up to deal with them by providing information in their mother tongue.

This might be a complete foreign language version of your website, or it could be as simple as a language ‘landing page’ which summarises the website in the person’s own language. My preference is for the latter, especially when starting out, as full site translations can be expensive, especially if you have a lot of content on the site. Inevitably you’ll find visitors are really pleased and encouraged to see information in their own language, and not at all put off by the fact that it’s only a summary.

Sourcing the translations can be difficult, so I’m pleased to annouce the launch of a ‘full service’ multi-lingual website package for clients for just 1295 Euros which includes:

  • Web Design, BUILD & SEO (sehen website design package here)
  • Customisation of site infrastructure for up to 4 additional language pages
  • Translations of source language summary page into 4 additional languages (ie Dutch, German, Spanish, Italian etc)

It’s a small price to pay for a highly professional website which will make foreign language prospective guests know you’d value and welcome their visit to your property.
