Page title structure
The last of these is critical: by default, your page title structure in WordPress is:
blog name : post title
But Google gives more importance to keywords found earlier in the title, so it makes more sense to select the structure:
post title : blog name
This trick alone should help you improve your ranking ten-fold in Google.
Once you’ve finished configuring the overall options, you can start SEO-ing your individual pages and posts by specifying page titles and meta descriptions on the create post page (click once on the AIO SEO heading and you’ll get the drop down options). There’s also the option to add keywords to your meta descriptions, but as most search engines ignore keywords, I tend to ignore that box too.
Bear in mind that a custom meta description can help you on two levels;
Using keywords in your meta description can help your ranking
Using good descriptive text can ‘entice’ the user into clicking on your result in the search results and visiting your page.
