Someone asked me how to use a favicon with a WordPress blog the other day, e non è stato semplice come aggiungere una favicon di un sito web tradizionale.

Una favicon è una piccola immagine (.ico extension) quale, se correttamente configurato con il tuo sito web o blog, viene visualizzata nel browser della persona che visita il tuo sito web. Più utilmente, si aggiunge anche ad segnalibri della persona, quando il tuo sito preferito.
Ho aggiunto una favicon piccolo al sito giteguru.com, Ed ecco un Screengrab di essa in Firefox e Chrome, oltre a quello che assomiglia a mio segnalibri Chrome. Andare avanti e bookmark questo post (CTRL + D), poi verificare a che cosa assomiglia nel tuo segnalibri.

Ho cercato un po 'intorno per trovare una soluzione e questo post del blog utilesul tema, giving a step by step guide on how to create and add the favicon by creating and installing a WordPress plugin. In poche parole:
- Create an image 16px x 16px and save it as favicon.ico (usando Photoshop, Gimp o la mia preferenza, Paint.net)
- Upload it to the root of your WordPress THEME folder using an FTP programme
- Copiare il codice PHP sul post del blog pagina in un editor di testo come Notepad, o la mia preferenza, Notepad ++
- Creare una nuova cartella sul desktop chiamata ‘favicon '
- File > Salva con nome > favicon.php (favicon nella cartella sul desktop)
- FTP la cartella e il suo contenuto nella directory plugin wp
- Nel vostro admin WP, attivare il ‘favicon’ plugin
Ora vai al tuo sito web / blog homepage, and hit CTRL F5 to clear the cache and refresh the page. La favicon dovrebbe essere in vigore per tutti di vedere.

Sounds like a cool way to add a personal touch on wordpress blogs. This also helps create a brand of some sort helping your subscribers identify you easily. Many thanks to you dude! I’ll surely add this to my wordpress blogs as soon as I can create a unique icon.
