Crap name, useful (free) tool. These guys approached me a few months ago about promoting their search engine rank monitoring tool to my readers, so I’ve been checking them out before blogging about them.
Why wait 3 months? Because these tools are notorious for popping up and then disappearing again within a matter of weeks. This one has stayed the distance, and is actually pretty cool in that it allows you for free to monitor your site’s rank for specific search phrases across the three main search engines and for different countries (I’m monitoring UK and US), and displays it in a nice little table.
For a fee you can add more keywords, more sites, check your backlinks and much much more, but for me it does just enough for free as I can get most of the other information from Google Webmaster Tools and Analytics.
What I really like about the site is that it emails you when your rank changes and shows in which direction you’re moving, meaning if you need to blog a bit to keep your content fresh, you get a bit of a reminder.
Now, I’m off to do something about those #3s….”Gite web design” & “gite website”… can’t believe I’m being pipped!
Give it a whirl and let me know what you think, and let me know what tools you find useful in monitoring your search engine ranking.
