I really can’t recommend Dave enough! His work is fantastic. I am delighted that I found him. He has provided us with excellent service, nothing is too challenging for him and he’s great to work with!
Within a few days of us discussing my website needs we had pages online and content being uploaded. My website looks exactly how I hoped it would (take a look for yourselves), possibly even better thanks to Dave’s great ideas and know-how.
Now I’m self-sufficient with the website, maintaining it myself and feeling in control of my cyber-destiny!
I have already recommended Dave to some friends looking for websites to be done and will continue to do so. A true guru if there ever was one!

Love the website, Dave. The techie tips are lifesavers, especially your easy-to-follow screencasts, which inspired me to have a go at installing Wordpress and updating to 2.7. Delighted (and amazed, LOL). Worked first time! Thanks so much and hope you will keep up the good work.
I knew my original website was not working for me as it should do for a gite/B&B owner. But, with the number of B&Bs and gites in Normandy I really thought trying to optimize a website for search engines was a pointless task. I would read various discussion forums about gites, websites, SEO etc. and feel sick. But reading Dave’s comments about SEO etc for gite owners on one of those discussion forums I just had to have a chat with him. I found his confidence inspiring.
During that first chat, about half an hour, I was sold. And within a few days I had the beginnings of a working website. And after just more than a week my gite and B&B was on *Page 1* of google for some of the chosen keywords.
I really can not recommend Dave enough. And if you are a bit of a website novice – Dave will not only get the website you really want live, but he will share with you and take you through the simple little tricks to get the results you need.
Dave thanks not only for a great website, but also for the invaluable help in getting me more in control of my own internet advertising. You knew exactly what I wanted, you had an even better idea of what I needed, and you gave me more!

Dave is my former boss and a true digital geek. Dave was a fantastic boss, really pushing the boundaries of digital and had a nack of always discovering the next big thing within digital before anyone else did.
Working under Dave’s guidance for almost 3 years helped me learn almost all I know about digital, particularly the use and love of Wordpress (the worlds greatest CMS).
Definitely recommended and a truly lovely bloke!
Dave has come up with a website that always garners complements from all who see it. His bedside manner with those of us who are barely computer literate is a Godsend. Gite Guru has done a wonderful job in sorting out my website… well, that’s an understatement, he’s totally restored my faith in website designers/managers with his technical ‘know-how’, patience and understanding.
Our wonderful new gite website is now getting page 1 rankings on Google and many other major search engines all thanks to his knowledge of the French gite rental market – I’ve already recommended him to several friends. Cheers Dave!

What a star! Not only is Dave technically brilliant, he is willing and able to explain complicated computer stuff in plain English and has the patience of a saint.
Dave has created exactly the website I wanted. He came up with the essentials, took on board my ideas and suggestions and when he thought they weren’t very good he explained why. No matter how many nit-picking changes I asked for, he remained encouraging and enthusiastic and seemed genuinely interested in making sure I was happy with the end product.

Thanks to Dave I now have a web site which satisfies all my requirements….beautiful to look at, functional and easy to maintain. I just provided the photo of the blue hydrangea and said I wanted it to appear in the heading, chose a font for the title and specified that the main colours of the site should be blue and green (the colours of Brittany’s landscape) and Dave came up with a very aesthetically pleasing site. I’ve had many compliments already. The French translation worked well too but needed checking over and correcting by a French person. I would recommend Dave to anybody who is looking for a new web site to be built. Very pleasant to work with too.

The translation plugin Debbie mentioned is discussed here on the blog, it automatically translates into a new language and then allows you to correct the automated translation (which is inevitably a bit shoddy at first!). What can I say? After 5 years of frustration and struggle with various so called webmasters – each starting off bright eyed and bushy tailed but deteriorating rapidly until even the most basic updates took weeks, I have my dearest wish of total (well allmost) autonomy realised. And it’s all thanks to …. Giteguru! It took me a while to take this step into the unknown, it all seemed almost too good to be true and there was always the question of my own lack of IT skills but so far I don’t regret taking the plunge. Dave does have the patience of Job and with me he needed it, he also has the skill of presenting information in an easily digestible form and that too he needed with me. I’m delighted with my site, I’ve had many compliments paid and best of all I can maintain it, update it, add blogs to it and it’s mine – all mine – my precious! Steady now…. seriously I recommend Dave 100% to anyone fed up with being at the mercy of webmasters and wants a quality site they can manage with a minimum of fuss. Thanks Dave and it’s good to know you’re still there in case of emergencies.

I found Dave through google, just the way I need my customers to find me! I had an existing site that was pretty but under performing. Dave rebuilt it on Wordpress and supported me getting up to speed with operating it. With a bit of persistence and experimentation with optimization for Search engines I now get more visitors in an average day than I used to get in a good week. well I reckon this must be one of your older readers (70 few). Iv’e managed to put our website together with very very little knowledge but ocean’s of help from a friend, I think it’s almost finished, and my wife Christine and I are ready to throw it out into the vast sea of advertising holiday properties. oh my goodness, where do I start, do we pay/or not pay, if yea or nay how much and to whom? and for what!!! .
