Most rental properties have (at least one) availability calendar, and my preferred method for showing availability on your WordPress website is to embed a Google Calendar. It’s free, it’s simple, and it looks good. To put the Google calendar in your website, you need to create the calendars and email me the code to insert them. This video shows you how to do that.
Use the controls at the bottom of the video player to watch full screen, and you’ll need your volume right up! If I go too fast, simply pause the video whilst you catch up!

Thanks for the tutorial. I posted a google calendar into my website but it looks as if any changes to settings, eg ‘week starts on’ date doesn’t get picked up by the website. Any ideas?
Thank you for the tutorial.
I have heard on the grapevine that these calendars don’t look so great once embedded in a web page.
Do you have a link to an example of how you’ve done it that I could see?
Thanks for this guide. A useful tip – you can click, hold and drag over several days to create an event over that period – bit easier/quicker than adding it on one day and altering the details subsequently
